Formosa Palm Coconut Palms south of ToliaraArenga engleri, also known as Formosa Palm and Dwarf Sugar Palm is a beautiful clustering palm, small to medium in size to around 3m. Long fish tailed shaped pinnate leaves, dark green on top, silvery underneath, twist gracefully. Each trunk is covered with delicate black fibres. Evergreen, this palm prefers partial shade and will take quite a few degrees of frost. One of the best palms to display a tropical look. It is still a palm which is not often
